Bronze Sculptures

Bronze sculptures created in a foundry class using the lost wax technique. Figures were first sculpted in wax, then molded with plaster. The wax was melted away, and molten bronze was poured into the plaster molds. Once cured, the sculptures were then broken from the plaster and chased using cold chisels, die grinder, and grinder.

Five sculptures were made across two pours, with the butterfly and hand being crafted during a pour in which I took the lead and poured the bronze.
